This represents a 16% increase compared to the prior six-month period and a 9.7% rise versus the same window last year. ALEX Intelligence analyzed the size-band shifts in these transactions to track how home dimensions are trending locally. The data shows a clear move toward bigger floor plans, with the median square footage climbing from 1,678 in the prior six months and 1,774 twelve months ago. This growth in home size coincides with a 9.3% increase in median close prices to $347,000 during the same period. While homes are getting larger, they are also selling slightly faster than last year but slower than the prior six-month window. The median days on market stood at 54 days, up 35% from a year ago but down 39.3% compared to the previous six months. The median price per square foot was $180, which is 10.9% lower than the same period last year despite the larger average home size. This shift suggests buyers in Lee County are prioritizing space over compact footprints.
