Are homes in Crosswinds getting bigger? The data says yes. Over the rolling six months ending September 30, 2026, the median living area for closed sales reached 2,173 square feet across 44 transactions. This represents a 2.7% increase compared to the prior six-month period, when the median was 2,116 square feet. ALEX Intelligence analyzed the size trends by comparing current home dimensions against historical data from the same window last year. The median living area is now 2.2% larger than it was during the corresponding six-month period in 2025, which saw a median of 2,127 square feet across 69 sales. This shift suggests buyers are prioritizing more space or that new construction inventory is trending toward larger floor plans. The trend holds even as price dynamics shift. While the median close price dipped 6.3% year-over-year to $351,294, the physical footprint of homes sold has expanded. The median price per square foot also rose 1.7% from the prior period to $179, though it remains 5.8% below the same window last year when it stood at $190. This growth in home size occurs alongside a slight increase in time on market. Homes spent a median of 96 days selling, up 4.3% from the prior six months and 7.9% higher than the same period last year. Despite the longer selling times, the demand for larger square footage appears resilient in this master-planned community. The data reflects a market where buyers are securing more living space, even as affordability pressures influence pricing. The median home sold for $351,294, with 79.5% of sales closing below the original list price. As inventory levels adjust, the size of homes entering the market continues to define the local housing stock. Shopping in Crosswinds?
