Harker Heights Market Pulse: Prices Dip in Rolling Six Months

Harker Heights saw median home prices drop to $320,000 in the rolling six months ending September 30, 2026, down 7.9% from the prior six-month period. This analysis covers 39 closed sales, a volume comparable to the previous window of 40 transactions and slightly below the 44 sales recorded in the same timeframe last year. While prices softened, homes are selling faster than they did six months ago. The median days on market dropped to 37 days from 43 days in the prior period. However, this speed is still slightly slower than the 34-day average seen in the same window last year. Buyers are negotiating more aggressively today. The share of homes selling below their original list price rose to 71.8%, up from 62.5% previously and significantly higher than the 45.5% recorded a year ago. Despite this, the median close-to-original list ratio held steady at 97.9%. The average home size sold decreased slightly to 2,161 square feet from 2,274 square feet in the prior period. With 25 active listings currently on the market and 3.7 months of inventory available, the local supply remains balanced for both buyers and sellers.
