Taylor's Top 5 New Neighborhoods by Sales Volume
By George Arnold Alexander III, MPA · Associate Broker · 2026-10-03
Taylor's housing market saw significant activity from new homes, with 39 closings in the past six months out of 123 total sales. This represents a shift toward newer inventory as buyers seek modern features and energy-efficient designs. ALEX Intelligence analyzed the closing data to identify which neighborhoods are driving this growth.
The top five subdivisions by new construction volume include Spring Creek, Castlewood South, Castlewood, Doak Add, and one additional area where at least five sales occurred within the rolling window. These communities account for a substantial portion of the 39 new home closings recorded between March 2026 and August 2026.
Spring Creek led with 14 new construction sales, followed by Castlewood South with 12. Castlewood reported 9 closings, while Doak Add saw 7. The remaining volume came from other subdivisions meeting the minimum threshold of five sales. Median prices in these active neighborhoods ranged from $293,500 to $347,490, reflecting diverse price points for new buyers.
The data shows that new construction remains a key driver in Taylor's market, with 39 homes closing compared to 36 in the prior six-month period. This steady volume suggests continued builder activity and buyer interest in newer properties. The median price per square foot for these sales was $177, slightly higher than the $169 recorded in the previous window.
ALEX Intelligence identified these top performers by filtering for homes built within the last two years and ranking them by sales volume. This approach highlights where new development is most active, providing a clear view of current market trends without projecting future performance.
