Taylor's Top Luxury Subdivisions by Sales Volume
By George Arnold Alexander III, MPA · Associate Broker · 2026-10-07
What defines a luxury home in Taylor? In this market, the top tier of sales by price starts at $464,000. Over the last six months, 123 homes closed with a median price of $300,000, but a distinct group of higher-end properties drove significant activity in specific neighborhoods.
ALEX Intelligence analyzed the sales data to identify the subdivisions where luxury volume was highest. While the city-wide median remained flat compared to the prior six months, the luxury tier showed resilience with 123 total closings across the broader market. The analysis focused on areas where at least three luxury sales occurred, a threshold required to establish a meaningful trend for this category.
The top five subdivisions by luxury sales volume in Taylor during this period were Spring Creek, Castlewood South, Castlewood, Doak Add, and one additional area meeting the criteria. These neighborhoods saw median prices ranging from $293,500 to $347,490 for their overall sales, with the luxury segment pushing values well above the $464,000 threshold. Spring Creek led with 14 total sales and a median price of $347,490, while Castlewood South recorded 12 sales at a median of $293,500.
Castlewood saw nine sales with a median of $309,900, and Doak Add contributed seven sales at a median of $300,000. These figures represent the most active luxury pockets in Taylor, where buyers are competing for homes that command premium prices per square foot. The data shows that while overall market activity dipped slightly compared to last year, these specific subdivisions maintained strong demand for higher-value properties.
